So this is the entrance to the forest, huh? the boy muttered as he stared at the large opening into the forest defiantly.
It had been about a day and a half journey for him and his Pokemon, mainly because he wasn't used to traveling from place to place whistle trying to navigate around things. Plus, he just wanted to take his time and see what Pokemon he could find while he was out here. He already found a Spearow, so hopefully he could find other Pokemon - perhaps a bug to grass type - while he was venturing around in the forest. Yeah, that sounded like loads of fun. Though, managingly, Larvitar acted as if he hated every stinking minute of it. Then again, he hated being with his trainer as well, so that was an epic failure to the boy all together. And he was hoping to bond with his Pokemon at one time or another. Ah, well, like they say, creating bonds take a while to establish, and this one seemed no different.
The sun said it was high noon, and Rowark - the dark haired eight year old standing at the forest entrance - couldn't help but still feel intimidated by this place showed upon him. Even in the middle of the day, it still gave out an eerie feeling that made him shake and shudder with uneasiness. But, unfortinatly, there was no other way to get around to the next town, so this was the way he had to take. The boy stood there and stared slightly at the mouth of the forest ready to gobble him up. Maybe this is what a new trainer felt like. Or maybe it was just his scardy-Mewoth troubles kicking him in the rear again. Maybe he should have just stayed at the Orphanage, where he belonged. But he just had to find his brother. He just had to! With a sigh, he looked to the creature atop his head for advice.
"Well, what do you think Spearow?" the boy queered, making the bird stop looking around and bend over slightly to look at his face. "Should we go in now, or wait until someone else comes along and go on in with them?"
Rowark had returned his Larvitar into it's Poke'ball mainly because the young Pokemon had been traveling with him outside his Pokeball ever since their journey started. That, and the Pokemon wasn't listening too well as they got closer to the forest. So Rowark just decided to let the second member of his team come out and sit on his head instead. She seemed comfortable as well, nestled in his shaggy brown hair. The bird looked at her trainer for a few more minutes, as if trying to figure out what to say to him before she stood up from her nesting position.
"Spearow!" it called as it spread out it's wings at full length, bending over a bit more before going and lying back down in her nesting position. A large sweat drop appeared on the boy's face as he looked up confusingly at his Pokemon, chuckling slightly. Was that a yes? Ah, he'll never know, now will he? Wearily, and still slightly confused, Rowark looked back to the forest's entrance.
"Well, a few more minutes of waiting wouldn't hurt." he mumbled in his slightly scratchy voice. Or maybe in a few years, perhaps?
He'll never know.
