In my opinion, a pokemon forum has gotta have them, or at the very least just pokemorphs so long as there is some evil team. Pokemon is a very happy world, but in order for a pokemon role-play to be sucessful, you've got to have some dark attributes. You know what I mean? When the roleplay is about the person rather than their pokemon, it becomes more about culture and politics, and the plot can become much deeper. And sure, morphs can still be trainer too. I will make a post with one of my morphs just to show you how fun they can be:
"Of course, priestess." He told her, before bowing slightly as he moved the cloth that hung above the humble door. He held the cloth open for her, and waited for her to emerge before him. Tensai was one of the coolest locations Tiraka had to offer, but it was far from wealthy. "I've been out training with the bug sages today. I want to become the village grandmaster." he started, as they headed outside. Andy was a Grumpig hybrid-morph, and had large ears and a curly tail that was hidden under his robe. His abilities as a psychic were fairly powerful, but not the best in town. He was more well known for his knowledge, and sheer likableness than his abilities as a psychic monk. Of course not ever person in tensai took religion as a profession, but they were all very spiritual. They took Tiraka and it's laws very seriously, because they believed Arceus himself was the coordinator. Tensai was Fort Scarlet and Crimson's closest ally.

"Bitch...you hit me with ice in the face..." The scyther morph sage said to one intruder. He punched her in the eye, causing her to fly back and hit the ground. It already began to bruise. "You tried to touch me...Leave me alone..." whimpered the vaporeon morph. "I'm just passing through... I want to go to the capital." She told him.
"No. You're coming with me... " he said, grabbing Vanessa, and picking her up. the sage was far stronger than Vanessa, and easily overpowered her. He threw the light girl over his shoulder, and began carrying her in town. "Wh-what are you gonna do to me?" She cried. He just grinned. The same thing I do to every girl who tries to pass through here..." he told her.
"Nooo!" She said, as she struggled. She spat an ice beam at his ear, and froze half of his head. Needless to say, the man promptly let her go. "You, stupid BITCH!" he said, before slashing at her with a scythe that appeared where his hand had been. He scraped her deeply along the back, and she screamed, running away.
"Help!" The sage called. "The water city has sent a spy! Kill her!" he growled.

"I've been out training with the bug sages today. I want to become the village grandmaster."
Amy slipped through the open doorway and began to casually walk through the town, her gaze set on the sky. She listened intently to his ambition, and turned her gaze to him. "That's quite a goal you have there. I wish you the best of luck, of course. Not that you'll have to struggle much for the title." She couldn't help but laugh a little, her joy expanding with the scenery she loved so much. "You'll make a wonderful Grandmaster. I have no doubt about it. I think Arceus would be proud to have a Grandmaster of such talent." The small Espeon had a love of the almighty pokemon, and she believed that everything she did was a gift from him, and every task she accomplished was a way of saying thank you to him.
"Help! The water city has sent a spy! Kill her!"
At the call for help, a trio of bug sages came running out of one of the houses, blocking off Vanessa's path. "And where do you think you're going, you little rat? Didn't think you'd get caught, eh?" They were laughing at her, slowly walking toward her. They knew what was going on, and they weren't about to let such an adorable girl get away. "You did the wrong thing, coming into this village the way you did. You must not be the brightest child." They had spaced themselves out across the narrow street, not even giving her the opportunity to get past them. There wasn't much of a place to go, being that it was basically only past the three sages or past the Scyther sage, which didn't offer much of an option.

The sky she watched was rather nice to look at at this time of day. The sun was setting, and there were purples and oranges lining the clouds as it gradually darkened. "That's quite a goal you have there. I wish you the best of luck, of course. Not that you'll have to struggle much for the title." She told him. He too had been fixated on that wonderous sky, and it took him a moment to reply. "Not any competition, but that's because of how difficult it is..." he said, staring into the sunset. Anthony was greatly appreciative of beauty. He turned and looked into her eyes.
"When a man can turn away from such a sun set, and be more dazzled at what he then see's, it's truly amazing, Amy." he said, of her charm.
"What the hell? I thought this was a holy city...that man wants to rape me!" Vanessa called in this distance.
--
"I am a refugee of the empire! Fort Scarlet is my home... You will let me pass! And arrest that man! He slashed me with a deadly scythe! I'm bleeding!" She growled.
"I attacked you because you ambushed me, girl...My head is still covered in ice. I'm going to have a frost bite because of you...Seize her." he ordered.
"No...he's gonna do stuff to me...' She complained.

"When a man can turn away from such a sun set, and be more dazzled at what he then see's, it's truly amazing, Amy."
A total blush covered her cheeks as she looked away, back to the sky. She stiffled a laugh as a small tear appeared at the corner of her eye. As she felt it slide down her cheek, she wiped it off and just looked at it. It was obvious his compliment had struck her heart, rising up the conflict she had within her between him and her work. "Andy... I don't think--" She was cut off by a scream for help from nearby that gained her attention.
"What the hell? I thought this was a holy city...that man wants to rape me!"
Alert struck her face, and she instantly looked panicked. Glancing at Anthony, she gave a bit of an apologetic, yet horrified look before dashing off. She was running through the streets to where her ears had picked up the cry. As she neared the situation, she noticed it was a small, Vaporeon girl against 4 bug sages. Pushing past the Scyther sage, she ran to the girls side. "What in Arceus' name do you think you're all doing?! What did she do to you to deserve your torment? Explain yourselves this instant!"
She was facing them, her back to the girl. The three sages that had come out faltered in step as she appeared, backing away slowly. As Amy focused her anger on the Scyther sage, the three ran off, and she didn't care to follow them. She knew the main culprit, and she was currently staring him down with an immensely cruel look in her eyes, as if she was wishing death upon him. She placed a hand on the shoulder of the girl, a strange spiritual pressure concentrating itself through her to the girl's injury. Her gaze didn't even waver, but she used her skill to heal the girl before the injury became too serious. "I advise you explain yourself before the wrath of Arceus is unleashed upon you." Her voice had become cold and rather monotone. She meant business, and she was no where near patient enough for a compromise.
