I walked up to the door of Professor Echevaria's lab. I was incredibly nervous as I had put off getting my first pokemon for a very long time, but now I was ready. I was ready to start my journey to become a pokemon master, and I know that there was only one way in which to do that, and that was to start.
I walked in the building and met a rather pretty looking secretary at the counter. I looked at her and smiled.
"Hello, may I request an appointment to get my first pokemon with Professor Echevaria, today!" I said, trying to sound as nice as I possibly could without making it sound like I was being fake about it. |

Professor Echevaria walked out the door as soon as she got the message from her secretary that a new trainer was here to receive their first pokemon. How she loved seeing new trainers get their first pokemon. She smiled at him as she walked out the door. It had been a while since Tianto town had had a new trainer and it was about time some fresh blood came through the door and set off on their journey.
"Well hello there. So you're here for a new pokemon, hmm...well you've come to the right place. We have plenty of pokemon available for you. Why don't you come on through this door and choose one of our fine pokemon for youself." She said, grabbing the young trainer's wrist and pulling him through the door. "Now which pokemon would you like?"

Any pokemon he wanted...well, he was well aware that there were limits, but it was so hard to choose. Whenever you had the choice of any pokemon that you wanted, it was hard to choose. There were some many that he wanted. Still, Zach had been thinking about the pokemon that he wanted for a very long time and he felt that he had finally come to a conclusion to which one was best for his first.
"I would like to start my journey with a Dratini, please."

"A dratini...is that your final choice?...well, too late." Professor Echevaria said as she walked over to a computer and started typing in dratini's pokedex number. At the click of a button, a regular pokeball zapped onto a little platform right next to her. She picked it up and examined it. She released the dratini from it's ball and let the little pokemon rest in Zach's arms. It was asleep, and adorable.
"There's your little cutie. This dratini is a girl, so you treat it especially well. It's at level 5. Here is 5 pokeballs and a pokedex. The city has begun to ask me to donate poke to all new trainers. I told them I wouldn't, so they have donated it themselves, so...here you go!" Professor Echevaria said, handing all of the items to Zach in a small bag. "You enjoy your journey, and please keep in touch. I can give you any information that you need. Be safe!"

Zach looked at the new dratini. It was so small, so innocent. He was already feeling a bond with it and he hadn't even had it for more than five minutes. He hugged it, then took all of the items, returning the little dratini to its pokeball. He knew that this was going to be an absolutely amazing journey and that he was going to do awesome things.
"Thank you professor." Zach said as he turned around and left. He looked over his shoulder at the door, "I'll be sure to keep you updated on my journey!" |
