Okay, so he had to admit. He was nervous. Nervous than most people to say the least. Sure, he actually took a shower this morning that he hadn't taken in more than a week. He was surprised anyone actually could stand him. Then again, the Nurse Joy at the Pokemon Center seemed to be used to it. She'd probably taken worser cases, both Pokemon and human. Yeah, that was likely. With a loud sigh and a gulp, Rowark took a mighty step forward into the lab of Tianto Town. He was getting his first Pokemon today, even though he was under age. He looked about ten, luckily, so he could hopefully pass it off easily. Hopefully. He just didn't know how well he could do so. The inside of the lab was cool and refreshing. As opposed to the outside, which was hot and sunny. He never really liked that weather, personally.
His eyes wondering slightly around before noticing the women sitting at the front desk. The secretary, perhaps? Yeah, that sounded about right. With another brave sigh, Rowark stepped forward towards the desk, his heart pound. He couldn't help but clutch the cross he had dangling around his neck half way there before dropping his hand, pausing in front of the desk, and clearing his throat slightly.
"Excuse me miss," he said politely, "but, uh-um, I have an appointment to meet the professor. M-my name's Rowark Anderson." The boy gave a small smile in retort to his own gesture of kindness, adjusting his grey jacket slightly. Yeah, he might just fail at this, personally.

The women at the front desk paused from her work on an old fashioned computer to look at the boy for a moment before chuckling and reaching for a red button near a speaker, mumbling something about everyone having an appointment with the Professor. She quickly spoke through the speaker-looking object and spoke into it that a trainer was here to receive his first Pokemon. Another voice crackled through it, a feminine one saying that she'd be right there, that she just had to catch a Pokemon for her self first. The secretary just chuckled, shaking her head as she leaned back towards her computer, telling the boy that the professor would be just a moment. That was no lie, for in a few moment, a women in a white lab coat came walking briskly up, a slight smile on her face, though she looked tuckered out.
"So I take it you're here to get your first Pokemon, correct?" the women asked before correcting her self. "Well of course! Who wouldn't be here to get their first Pokemon? Unless you already have one of course." The women raised an eye brow before shaking the comment off. "I guess your in a hurry then, right? To start your adventure? Well, come on then!"
She practically snatched the boy by his jacket and was quick to turn and lead him down a hall way that she had just came from. They both entered a large room, looking slightly empty except for shelves of paper work, not to mention tables filled of it, and a Linoone sleeping on the floor near a large machine. The machine looked very important. And it was, none the less. Echevaria gave a short smirk before walking over to sed machine. She looked back to the boy as for him to follow where she had just gone to.
"And what Pokemon would you like to start out with?" she questioned him.

Rowark had heard that he could start with any Pokemon at this lab, or something like that. It was so hard to choose, there were so many Pokemon to choose from. He had already begun to think about the possibilities, personally. He would pretty much have to use this Pokemon as his partner for the rest of his life, as he soon found out from his older siblings. He fought not to cry when thinking of this, taking a big breath to calm him self down. But from what Pokemon he had grown up with, it was pretty easy from him to decide. A small smirk played on his face at the thought of this, personally.
"I would like to start with a Larvitar, please, ma'am," Rowark asked kindly. "Well, if you have any, that is." The boy had heard that Larvitar were hard to find in the wild, which meant even harder to find in captivity. He would be fine with anyone other Pokemon, though he hoped that she did in deed have a Larvitar on her.

Echevaria gave a nod before turning towards the machine, pressing a few buttons, entering a few codes before, at the end of a tube, a Poke'Ball setting it self on the plastered table. Echevaria picked up the Poke'ball and turned towards the boy awaiting his Pokemon.
"Your in luck," the women said with a smile. "We've just received one last week. Ended badly for his parents, no doubt. But we did get one. I warn you, though, he can be a little feisty at some times. I just hope you two can get along." Echevaria pressed the button in the middle, releasing the small Pokemon onto the floor in front of the boy. "It's a male, too, so let's just hope he doesn't have any grudges." Echevaria then turned and clutched something under a cabinet. It was a bag and a Poke'Dex. The women smiled and turned back to the boy, handing him the items. "And here's your starter kit," she said with a smile, "having to be given to each trainer when they start their journey."

Rowark gave a smile as he squatted down, reaching out a hand to pet the small Pokemon. The Larvitar quickly flinched away at this movement. Rowark seemed a little hurt, though only smiled and chuckled slightly as he stood up. He wouldn't make the Pokemon do what he didn't want to, right? Rowark jumped as the professor handed him his items for his journey. He could only smirk as he checked inside the backpack before putting the Poke'Dex neatly inside of it and putting the bag on his back. It wasn't heavy, really. There wasn't much stuff in it, either. Lucky enough for him, as the case may have been. He gave a happy "thank you" as he took the Larvitar's Poke'Ball from Echevaria and turned to the small Pokemon, calling it back. The Pokemon seemed reluctant, but was put in it's Poke'ball none the less.
"Thank you again, Professor Echevaria," the boy said with a nod as he looked towards the professor once again. "I'll make sure to stay in touch." The boy turned and began to walk out of the room, before looking over his shoulder and calling, "You won't regret giving me a Pokemon! I'll be the best trainer yet!"
