The Basics
Name: Mayleen Annabelle Jonhston.
Nickname:May. May-May.
Age: 26.
Gender: Female.
Affiliation: Elite Four. Breeder.
Origin: Newbark Town, Sinnoh.
Theme Song: If Today Was Your Last Day - Nickelback; Poker Face - Lady GaGa.
The Outside In
Appearance: Mayleen is what some people would call petite; she's very thin-looking and almost very pretty. She also seems to be very tall; she usually says that she's about five foot eleven to six foot two. How tall she is, she can really never know too much about that. Her short brown hair is usually pulled up into a small ponytail, with the bangs going two different ways. Of course, one side of the bangs are held up by two green bands, of which the color is her favorite. Her green eyes usually sparkle when she's happy or when she laughs, though look gloomy if sad or depressed. She usually can't decide which of two colors are her favorite, so she wears them both - green and white.
She wears a white long sleeve shirt with a green tank top, as to hide cleevage because she is very strict about what she shows. About the neck hole is a dog collar as one might say, with green spikes instead of white ones. She wears a strange belt over her white skirt, of which hangs down slightly with red balls around it. Under her skirt, black shorts cover anything that could be shown, the shorts being slightly tight as to not fall off or anything during a battle or a night out. Her tennis shoes are - as probably you could guess - white and green, with white laces to match. Hooked onto her left shoe is a small charm her mother gaver her, and she always keeps it close to her at night when she's alseep.
Personality: Mayleen is usually very sweet and innocent, and tries never to hurt anyone or anything that she meets. She has an almost loving personality, and usually likes relaxing more than she does battling. The sun is her friend, as she once said. She usually spends her off-days sleeping under a tree in the shade while her Pokemon go out and play. But trust me, doll. She isn't always sweet like candy when she wants or needs to be at any certain time of the day. She has persistance that gleams during battle, and she enjoys the sport - if you could call it that - of battling and seeing if trainers can out-top her or not. After all, she is one of the Elite Four, now isn't she?
Usually very trusting and trustable, Mayleen would make a good freind to just about anyone and anything. Though she'd rather spend her days out searching for Pokemon such as the legendary Shaymin, she enjoys her job very well. Though her Pokemon are more of her main priority more than her job, she usually is seen as someone who enjoys the company of others and enjoys seeing others smile when she tells them her stories. Though probably not the best when it comes to trying to comperhend something by herself, she always would rather try to face her differences and challanges by her self rather than drag someone into it and having them getting hurt because of it. But hey, that's just how she rolls.

Leave Out All The Rest
History: Ever since she was a little girl, Mayleen has adored Grass-Type Pokemon. Why, no one who didn't know her could ever under stand. Of course, there is usually a story behind everything. Ever since Mayleen was young, she grew up learning to respect all creatures. Where did she learn this from, you may ask? Why, none other than her older cousin: Gardenia. She grew up around her older cousin's Pokemon, as well as her own familie's. Her mother was a Co-Ordinator in her youth, and retired to a gardener when she decided to settle down and have a family. So it was only natural that she had Grass and Bug-Type Pokemon to help her during her times outside in the spring and summer. But her father was, you may say, a bit different than that.[/color] The Pokemon gave a nod, and leapt back from where the two Mighyena skidingly landded after an attempt for both to land on the Pokemon. Sneasl sucked in a large breath, and out came freezing cold air of ice and snow. Either of the dog Pokemon ahead of it had time to react as both were practically frozen solid. Houndoom jumped back into a brushed off area in time for the leader and other lackie to turn towards the attack, only to get frozen as well.
Sure, he started out with the Sinnoh Grass-Type Turtwig when he started his trainer journey, but then again, their starter Pokemon really never effects what Pokemon they will catch when they're older. Mayleen's father, Wilson, usually leaned more towards Ice and Dark-Type Pokemon, though only had a couple on his team. And Mayleen's favorite: Sneasl. It seemed that her father had decided to search out that Pokemon as one of his first caught, though ended up finding it injured and somewhat starved by Mt. Cornet when he was traveling to get the Icicile Badge. Of course, it was on the other side of the moutain, where there was no snow and more Fire-Types lurked around the area than Ice-Types.
Her father's guess was that - because of it's normal attitude of trying to take down an opponet by slashing non-stop until it was down - the Pokemon got into a fight with a Fire or Fighting-Type Pokemon, and ended up getting a one hit K.O. from it's opposer. It was almost too badly injured when he found it, and her father had to get his newly-evolved Torterra to help him carry the Pokemon back to Celstec Town. The nurse there almost commented on how bad the Pokemon looked, and how that if it really was wild, then she should just put it down to put it out of it's misery since it had no where to go but up. Mayleen's father, having a kind edge for Pokemon, instantly claimed it was his, and made a lie saying that they hod gotten into an acciedent around Mt. Corent.
The nurse believed that story instantly, and took the poor and injured Pokemon into the back rooms to heal the poor thing. It was healed within a day or two - day turning into night when sed time ended - before the Pokemon was fully healed. While still under secdution, having been put to sleep while it was being healed, Mr. Johnston weakfully "returned it to it's Pokeball" when Nurse Joy allowed him into the room. What he would do with it, he did not know. He didn't have the heart to release it, having wanted that Pokemon for a while. Though he personally kept the Pokemon in it's Pokeball more than often, he usually let it out when needed and during a battle. Though, unluckily, during the first release, the Pokemon took off in a hurry to get away. He sent his Houndoom after it, of course, and battled it instanlty in the icey tundra on their way to get the seventh gym badge.
The Pokemon just about lost miserably, of course, due to Ice not being too good against fire. It was an easy win, you could say for Mr. Jonhston. Or Willy, as many of his friends would call him. The Sneasle accepted the defeat of it, but even after that, it would hardly ever listen to him, or do as it was told, even at a most hardship moment. Bill practically despised that about the Pokemon, but he knew it had a great will never to give up during harsh times. Though he could never get it evolved into the Pokemon he had always wanted, it sill made a great battling partner when it actually wanted to battle for him. Or for it self, give or take. Still, Mayleen just about adored the Pokemon it self, even though it hated just about everyone else.
Her father saw this one day when she was trying to get the Pokemon to play with her. It was a nice and warm day, all of her mother's and father's Pokemon were out running around with her. Well except for both Houndoom and Weavile. Houndoom was usually the sit back and relax type on the nicer days, liking to sit back or lay down and sun bath, maybe watch the others while he was at it. Weavile, well, that was just the way she was, and at the moment, she stayed leaning against the oak tree that lay not too far away from the house, near thw woods on a small little hill. It had it's arms crossed as it leaned back on the tree, it's eyes looking torwards the ground with a sour frown on it's face. May's mother was gardening at the moment with her Trompius, while her father was up and playing with her and her Pokemon.
After a while of playing, six year old Mayleen finally decided to go and approach the Pokemon, a huge smile on her face. The Pokemon only blinked slightly as it looked up and watched her aprroach, seeming slightly confused at what she was doing. "Come play!" she simply giggled, and reached for one of the Pokemon's arms. The Pokemon reacted by jumping to one side and giving a "Sneasl Sneas!" to the young girl. Mayleen blinked as the Pokemon slowly walked to the other side of the tree, it's head tilted slightly down with it's eyes closed and arms again crossed. May was almost about to arrpoach it again when it leaned it's back on the other side of the tree when her father just told him to leave it alone, that it didn't want to play.
But that never stopped Mayleen from trying.
She did what she always did, even before the incident: she fed the Pokemon, usually took most care of it, and tried to gain it's trust so it would be friends with her. Her father, knowing that she probably could fullfil this much, told his daughter that if she could befreind the Pokemon and make it nice, then she could keep it. But to Mayleen, doing the impossible was one step further to doing the things that were possible. So of course, anything was possible to her, even if someone said that it wasn't. So, like I said, it never stopped her from trying. It soon so happend that, a few months after the whole "play with me" incedent, Sneasl almost died due to the course of actions it choose to par-take because of it's wildness.
It was almost dusk, near end of the summer time and the begging of May's school year at the Pokemon Trainer School. Mayleen's mother had begun "cleaning up" the garden; the usual taking some plants that would die during the winter inside, and others she just threw into the compost pile if they wouldn't survive either way. Her father had been around back, taking the butt load of trash they had out. Well, with Torterra's help, anyway. Mayleen sat on a swing next to their house, her mother's Bayleaf pushing her on it. Sneasl had been pacing back and forth in the front yard nonstop, probably agitated because of it being yelled at when it tried to steal a box of Pokemon Food from the upper cabnet in the kitchen.
It wasn't purly supposed to be inside in the first place, much less going and stealing food when it was going to get some later. Either way, it was mad enough to where when Mayleen's mother asked for it to stop, it turned and yelled back at her[in Pokemon lanuage, of course]. How ever the course of actions went along, it ended with Sneasl whipping May's mother across the face with it's claws, leaving three large cuts where it's claws had been. Mayleen's mother screamed, and the force of the hit had made her fall while still on her knees. Her father had heard this and came running, while Mayleen skidded to a hault and rushed over as well. Sneasl seemed unimpressed in the next few course of actions, though her father's angression towards it got the best of it's feelings.
Will almost seemed red in the face when he approached his Pokemon, Torterra and Houndoom at his sides. His mother was being helped up by her Bayleef and May's father's Gardivior. Mayleen could only helplessly watch, though, as her most favorite Pokemon was being yelled at. Proabably at the verdge of death from her father as well. And that was practicaly what happend. Sneasl was almost to turn and run - her father probably seeing this - and ordered his Houndoom to use Fire Blast on the Pokemon that had hurt his wife. Mayleen couldn't see the Pokemon get hurt from this, and the Ice-Type was in for a crucail blow. Without warning, Mayleen jumped in front of the Sneasl, her father giving out a cry while the Pokemon just blinked in disbelif as the attack came straight for them.
It never hit them, though, if it weren't for May's father's Garduvior getting in front and using Light Screen to protect them. After the blast had cleared out, Houndoom usually having a lot of energy stored up in him, May's father seemed just as suprised that his daughter would risk her life for the Pokemon that had just injured her mother. Gardivour looked almost both shocked and upset when she looked back at her trainer's daughter, and there seemed to be a long silence before her father finnally spoke to her. He personally didn't get why she did it, and said that it needed to be taught a lesson. "No!" Mayleen seemed to simply cry out, a few tears streaming down her face. "A Pokemon's a Pokemon, and a promise is a promise, dad!"
Her father was slightly shocked by his daughter yelling back at him, though Sneasl seemed personally even more suprised. It stood back, with a suprised expression on it's face. Really, Billy wasn't the one who tried to save Pokemon unless they asked for it, and Sneasl was the one who really never asked for it. Sure, the Pokemon go hurt one too many times because of it. But Sneasl hadn't asked for any help from the girl, and still she tried to save it. Mayleen has one big heart for Pokemon, which it a fact to anyone who knew her and/or seen her in action. So of course, it was only partly natural that she had tried to stop her father from hurting Sneasl. The other portion would be that the Pokemon was her favorite and most liked Pokemon, even if it didn't like her.
But hey, things can change. Can't they?
It was a nice day in atumn. Since there weren't usually nice enough days to play around during these times, it was a rare and great oppurtunity that Mayleen got to go play in the near-by woods and route to her town with her father and mother. It was a nice Saturday afternoon, and her mother had decided to take them all on a picnic, even all of the Pokemon. Sneasl came along almost unwillingly, trailing behind everyone with her arm's crossed as she listened to everyone talk and laugh. It seemed almost annoyed by the fact, to say the least. Mayleen's mother still had some slight bandages where the Pokemon had slashed her on the cheeck, though she seemed less worried about that than anything else.
Once they found a nice little clearing to set up in, Mayleen began playing with the Pokemon - again, without Houndoom or Sneasl - and her father while her mother set up their lunch, her Bellosom close by, watching. It wasn't until Mayleen began getting closer to the woods that something bad happend. Normally, anyone would have thought that when a wild Pokemon sensed humans and many other Pokemon with them, that they would have ran off in fright of being hurt or capture, or to just get away from the noise. But then again, Poochyena are usually known for their quiet stupied bravery at some points. Mayleen just happend to sumble upon one accidently when she tripped back on it, playing tag with her father and the other Pokemon.
She really didn't mean to get too far back into the woods, though she blamed the entire thing on her self. As she tripped back, she gave a slight yelp. She managed to catch her self, though she almost wished that she didn't do that. As she looked down, she heard something growling. As she realized what it was, she gave a cry. The Pokemon's red eyes glared at her as it growled, and instantly she ran into the clearing with a frightend look on her face, the Poochyena close behind. Seeing this, her father was about to leap into action. And by this, I mean he stopped in mid scetence of calling his Houndoom into action. Mayleen froze and turned around, and by that time, the Poochyena had lept into the air to use some sort to tackle. Mayleen gave a scream, and flinched back for the attack.
Well, until a Shadow Ball rammed right into it.
Practically everyone paused in awe as the Poochyena fell to the ground, not much scathed as it was slightly injured. Not too far away, Sneasl stood how it had launch the attack, though gave a grimacing smirk as it dropped it's hands, giving a call. The Poochyena leapt back to it's feet this time, now taking a dive towards Sneasl. Of course, it's didn't get but half way before Sneasl launched forward, and began a fury of slashs onto the small Pokemon. A Sneasl it known for constantly attacking it's opponet until it is knocked clean out or it is able to escape, so it wasn't until the Poochyena was able to break free and turn tail yelping that the Sneasl calmed down enough to pause, looking towards the people who stared at it.
"Why I never!" was all Wilson could simlpy say towards the Pokemon as it slowly walked over to his daughter. Sure, he could never get the Pokemon to fight for him, much less save his life if needed. And he had almost killed it more than a week before. So it was only a wonder why to him why the Pokemon had simply saved his daughter in the first place. Mayleen, of course, had a well enough answer at the moment: because of her actions towards it - being both nice and caring towards it, and defending it from her father- it was actualty able to try and find a spot in it's heart - if it had one, her father would say - for her. The Pokemon had literaly extended it's arm towards the girl when it had reached her, but Mayleen practically tackled it with a hug.
"Sneasl!" it had called in suprise, though didn't do a thing to get away. May gave a giggle and stepped back, thanking it "greafully" with a large smile. Of course, the Pokemon turned and crossed it's arms, giving a slight call as if to say "Think Nothing Of It." Of course, Mayleen thought plenty of it, and until this day, she always does. Within the next few days, Maylen managed to keep getting the Pokemon's attention towards her, making sure that the Pokemon would actualy like her before asking it to become her partner. Of course, the Ice and Dark Type was frequently annoyed by such things, though took it by heart. Many ways are there to expression your love or caring affection for someone. Sneasl's way was one of them.
Of course, finally was May able to pop the question one day while she was out picking berries with Sneasl and her father's Torterra. The Sneasl blinked for only a moment before wearily nodded it's head in agreement. Mayleen practicaly dropped her basket of berries in exciment, though Torterra just in time for none to spill out. Why the Pokemon agreed, of course, her father was weary that night as she told him she was going to go on an adventure with the Pokemon that he disliked so much. Sneasl only gave a huff as it crossed it's arms, turning away from the humans in annoyance. Of course, Mayleen only giggled at the Pokemon. And again, of course she would not know the reason of Sneasl's help for her journey.
It was around midnight. Mayleen woke with a start, hearing the front door just below her bedroom shut with a big bang. Sleeply, she rolled over to her window, just in time to see a small figure rush from the lgith of the moon to the near by woods of her home. She was startled, and instantly jumped out of her bed and to the down stairs. He didn't even mind waking up her parents; she had no time to discuss this stuff with them! Grabbing Sneasl's Pokeball - she could only guess that it was that certain Pokemon - and called for both her mother's Bayleaf and her father's Houndoom, as well as grabbing her dad's Pidgeot's Pokeball and putting it back in there for a safe transportain when they got home. Once out of the yard, Houndoom put his mose to the ground, Mayleen and Bayleaf following the whole way on foot.
Within minutes, a tired Mayleen and her little "partners" came across a small lake, glowing due to the Voltbeat and Illumeise that floated around it. Mayleen blinked as she stared, her eyes gleaming as they took everything in site. And by everything, I mean her spotting a figure kneeling by the side of the lake, looking at it's own reflection. Sneasl had not seemed to notice them yet, so quielty Mayleen walked over to it as it looked almost gloomly down into the sparkling water. It jumped and almost threw a claw to the girl when she touched it's shoulder gently, seeming to almost have a heart attack by the gesture. It of course settled back down when it realized who she was, and again looked back towards the water. Mayleen sat quietly next to the Pokemon, Bayleaf sitting next to her with Houndoom sitting behind.
After a long moment of silence, Sneasl shifted back into a cross legged position, staring down at the water with a wondering expression. Mayleen finally added up the courage to ask what was the matter. The Pokemon gave a sigh and turned to her, with a sad expression. "Sneasl Sneas," it said looking down to the ground, at one of it's hands. "Sneas, Sneasl." Mayleen never was the best at giving an explanation as to what Pokemon were saying, though she had a guess as to what the Pokemon was saying this time. "You miss you family, don't you?" she asked, the Sneasl giving a "huh?" in response before she spoke on. "I bet you miss the wild too, right?" After another moment of silence, the Pokemon nodded towards the girl. Mayleen gave a slight smile as the Pokemon looked back towards the water, the buy type Poke gleaming and floating around above the water and the trees.
"You know, I could take you back to where my father found you so you can be wild again."
That was the most daring thing she said to the Pokemon that she had idled for almost her entire life. Sneasl made a jump as it heard that, and gave a puzzled look towards the girl, making a question-like call. Mayleen gave a nod, giggled slightly. The Sneasl looked slightly happier, as if it believed her. It couldn't help but stare a few more minutes as Mayleen her self looked towards the water's edge in quietness. There was a long pause, and Mayleen was about to ask if they should go home before her parents found her gone, when they heard an erie growling sound coming from the woods behind them. Bayleaf gave a call and stood to her fours, turning to look at the aproaching intendor. Houndoom leapt up with a snarling growl, Mayleen and Weavile looking back in suprise.
Two red eyes appeared in the darkness of the forest, a figure stepping out as another two sets appeared. Mightyena! Mayleen gave a yelp as she turned to stand up quickly, Sneasl jumping to it's feet as well. As a pack of about three or four entered where the girl and Pokemon stood, Mayleen couldn't help but start to back up frightenly towards the water. The Volbeat and Illumeise who had heard the ruckuss either turned tail and beat it, or stopped to stare at all of the comotion. Mayleen almost tripped into the water as the larger of the four came closer, Houndoom stepping in it's way with a grusem growl to back off. These actions, of course, started in a dog fight of the two, the other's of it's pack rushing to help.
Sneasl practicaly glidded forward into the battle at high speed as it used a Sky Uppercut - TM taught - on one of the charging Mightyena, Bayleaf using vine whip in able to slam the other two down to the ground. A Shadow Ball went flying one way from the Mightyena's mouth, a Flamethrower flying from Houndoom's. Mayleen gave a call as she rushed in to try to help Sneasl and Houndoom, Sneasl doging two of the Mighyena's Bite attacks and another joined it's leader in a gang fight against Houndoom, the girl gripping Pigdeot's Pokeball in her hand. Two vines reached otu and stopped her, of coruse, Bayleaf giving a call as for her not to go. In panic, of course, she tried to escape, Bayleaf holding her back with one vine while grapping the Pokeball with the other and throwing it.
The flying type came out with a call, flapping it's large wings greatly as it lowered it self slightly to the ground. The others could care less; Sneasl almost loosing it's footing as it heard the cry, and Houndom making a leap to the side as Bayleaf tried to get the girl onto the flying type. Mayleen, within a quick moment of thought, called to the Ice and Dark type. "Sneasl!" she cried with the up most high of her voice as she landed on the Pidgeot's back, Bayleaf coming up beside her. The Sneasl pasued for a moment after dogding yet another Mighyena attack. "Blizzard!"
Pidgeot gave a call as it opened it's wings, pushing down greatly as hard as it could, taking off into the air in one blow as it barely missed the Blizzard attack. Mayleen could have sworn that the lake froze over as well, though she didn't have enough time to check Bayleaf gave a call to the large flying type, making it take off for home. She didn't have time to check which way the others went, or how, really, for woods shrouded them all as she headed for home. She swore that if her parents weren't awake, she would not tell them of this night. She would be in trouble if she did. Sure enough, waiting outside the home, Sneasl and Houndoom had beat them back on foot. Mayleen practically tackled the Ice-type Pokemon once she had gotten off of Pidgeot, glad that the Pokemon was safe.
The next morning, and strangely for her father of course, he found his flying-type's Pokeball lying on the ground on the kitchen table instead of near the door. Out of curiosity, Will took the stairs to check on his daughter. Suprisingly enough, when he opened the door to her room, he found her lying on her bed, fast asleep and under her covers with Sneasl lying acorss her like they together were a cross. How strange! His wife only giggled, though, when she heard of it only minutes later from her husband. She personally thougth it was cute, to her standerds. About half an hour after the site, Mayleen woke with a start, practicaly racing down the stairs to make sure her parents did not know of her temporary departure. Sure enough, both were sipping coffee, her father reading the news paper with his Houndoom sleeping beside him. Neither asked about the night before. Of course, that night was not the final of Mayleen amd Sneasl's journey.
***
On Mayleen's twelfth birthday, she was finally allowed to leave ffor her Pokemon journey. Her parents wanted her to learn all she could about Pokemon before she left on her journey, and she knew it would help her along the way. While in Sandgem Town, she chose the Grass type Turtwig as he starter, having Sneasl as a walking partner for most of the journey during her Shinnoh adventure. Though she caught many Pokemon to aid her on her journey, such as Bibarel and Staraphtor [both having been evolved], she mainly stuck to grass-type Pokemon. She was overly thrilled to try out her own skills on the Grass type Gym Leader and her cousin, Gardenia, after having just caught a Treecko in Enternea Woods. It was not an easy battle to begin with, for a start. If it wasn't for Sneasl beating her cousin's Roserade in the end with Blizzard, she would have lost.
But ever since that, she looked to the gym leader as a role model, and even caught a Budew while on her journey to the next town after that. Well, not before looking at the statue in the town with the mumbled words on it. Sneasl mocked her slightly with this, though she ignored it with a thought. After a long journey of battling and almost loosing plenty of her battles along the way - admitting defeat to only a few - she finally was ready to make the trip to Snow Point to fight the Gym Leader, Candice. But of course, not without keeping her prmise she made when she was only six years old to the Pokemon she had adored for so long. A promise is a promise after all. Well, that's what Mayleen says, anyway. But who is to say that fate shouldn't change that?
It was right after Celstice Town, having helped clear a rocky mess from town square due to a tumbling of Gravaler and Golem with the help of her Pokemon. She had caught a few fire types to make the advantage towards the ice-type gym leader, and knew that from her father's discription - and Sneasl's excitment - that this was the place for her to say good bye to a life long friend once and for all. Though Mayleen was more happy than sad for releasing the Pokemon she had currently worked so hard with for about a few months time, the ice and dark type seemed joyed, and, after the good byes were finished and Sneasl thanked it's old trainer, it rushed into Mt. Cornet without any other response. Although Mayleen was heading in the same direction, she decided to let the Pokemon go free early so it could get home quicker, being as fast as it was. With her newly evolved Torterra at her side, she entered the cavern for the other side, not knowing what was ahead.
Frankly, Team Galactic was still doing their dirty work of the such while Mayleen was a trainer. So upon entering the cave, she knew something was up. It wasn't until she was half way through to the other side that two Galatic Grunts approached her, and from then on it kind of went down hill. Both ordered her to leave and go back the she came, but she only refused, saying that she'd be right out if they'd let her keep going. After a moment, it broke out into a full battle. Out numbered both human wise and Pokemon wise, having only about four to five on hand while both grunts had about five each, Mayleen was cornered. At the end, of course, it was Roselia and Grovyle against a Gravaler and a Camerupt - both very powerful Pokemon, in Mayleen's prospective. To her self, she didn't have much of a chance. It wasn't until both Pokemon charged at her, her Pokemon dogding and the opposers slamming into the wall on either side of her that it ended somewhat badly.
She ended up under a pile of large rocks, alive but in danger of being suffocated to death. Her Pokemon made if out fine, but she could still heard the mocked laughter of the grunts as they said a few words before their talk confermed that the Camerupt was going to attack either Pokemon with a blast burn. If the move was lucky enough - chances were high due to either Pokemon having low health - it would hit both Grass types without a warning of it. Mayleen was personally about to bawl when a sudden noise caught her attention. And it was familiar as well. Both grunts gave a startled cry as a large object felt as if it were hitting the ground very fast and hard, and Camerupt call could be heard in distress. Out of one of the cracks in the rocks fallen, May could see a figure bounce to the ground. It looked blue colored, personally.
"Sneasl Sneas!" it called in mock of the two grunts. It was Sneasl, come to rescue her! Or to help, to say the least. Either grunt was confused and frightend, though for a moment Mayleen thought that they were going to send out Gravaler, their last Pokemon to defeat the ice type. But in a split second, all three turned tail and ran. Who could blame them? An ice-type just took down a fire type! I would be freaked out, too, if that happend. Within seconds, the small foot steps of the Pokemon rushed towards her spot in the rocks. Mayleen felt a cool breeze run through the spot. All of a sudden, the rocks and boulders that had sournded the girl turned completely into ice, and all exploded into tiny peice, all without leaving a scratch on Mayleen her self. Sneasl stood with half a smile on it's face, along with an injured Sceptic and Rose. Mayleen almost tackled her "old" Pokemon with a hug, it rembursing the fact that now it was here to say.
The story was later told through one of Mayleen's freind's Chatot; the Pokemon has the ability to take after human speech, so it wasn't hard to descript out when the small flying type stated that - after the Sneasl had said everything - the Sneasl had grown quite attached to humans - especially Mayleen - but didn't know it until it realized it had left the girl for good. Mayleen felt slightly overjoyed by the such, again giving it a large hug in return. Man, I wish she's give me a hug, don't you? A few days after the battle, Mayleen and her Pokemon finally made their way towards Snow Point, having to use the Camperupt she caught as a guide through the blistering snow and ice falling from the sky. Once there, she had an obsession to bettle the Gym Leader there, mainly because the women had the Pokemon she wanted to see the most: Weavile.
Being the Ice-Type person that she was, Candice had Weavile as one of her strongest Pokemon, only second to her Froslass. Mayleen was mezmerized by such Pokemon, and soon it became an evalution versus pre-evalution battle, Mayleen not wanting to send out any of her Grass-types due to weakness to Ice-types. So Sneasl was her only choice. The battle had lasted an overly long time, by in the end, Mayleen won by a Shadow Ball. What a great day that was! Not too much exciting after that happend after that, much less entertaining. Sure, Sunny Shore's Gym Leader was a toughie. Nothing that the Grass-Types could not handle, though. After a one way defeat from the man, Mayleen went out for a second try and won her self her last badge, enabling her to go to the Shinnoh Pokemon Leauge.
***
A couple months later, the Pokemon Leauge presented it self to any trainer who had won all eight badges during their journey as a trainer with their Pokemon partners. Mayleen and Sneasl - with no hurry in evolving soon, even though every other Pokemon on her team was - had taken the first boat there when it had been announced, her parents promising to come and watch her battle. She was so proud of her self, personally. Her birthday was in a couple months, and she was planning to become leauge champion. To her self, nothing could stand in her way. But of course, she wasn't the best trainer in the world, and all trainers have their own little flaws inside and outside of battling. Grass types just happend to be one of them for her, frankly enough.
It was her second battle in the leauge, first round of the second day, there had been so many trainers. Her parents had been cheering her on. He other trainer's first few Pokemon seemed easy enough; they were mostly ground and rock types. Easy enoguh for her newly evolved Roserade. But things got a little hectic. After the first few, all of the other boy's Pokemon became a little bit, how shall I say this?, firey. Though she managed to make it to his second to last Pokemon, the only Pokemon she had left was her Sneasl, of whom had stood next to her during the whole battle, watching wearily. The second to last Pokemon had been a Combusken; it was just presviously weakend by Torterra's Earthquake before the fire-type had defeated him with a Blast Burn. So, in Mayleen's defense, it wasn't too hard to try and defeat the opponet with one of Sneasl's Metal Claws when it had gotten distracted by the Dark Type's Double Team. Over all, Mayleen thought that this was going to be an easy win.
Well, until the Charizard was sent out.
Charizard are known for their strong fire and flying ability, so Mayleen knew this would be a battle she just might loose in. Most people held their breath as the battle raged on, Mayleen having made battling look like such an easy job in her last battle. Although, the last guy didn't have any Fire-Types on his hand. This kid seemed to have plenty of them. It was the last few minutes of battle, and it looked as if Sneasl was going to loose. It was a tough time dodging the other Pokemon's attacks, much less the fire type attacks that it had. Soon, the final Pokemon's attack was thought to be the end of Mayleen's carreer: a Blast Burn. The attack weilded much power to a Pokemon of Sneasl's type, and as the Pokemon was pushed back, somke and dirt weilding in the air, Mayleen thought she was done for. Well, untill she thought she saw light in the middle of the dust.
At first, everyone thought it was just from the sun's rays hitting the dust it self. But as it grew dim, even Mayleen realized the outlined shape of Sneasl, and how suddenlt it began to grow and take new form. There was a few gasps and awes in the crowd as the anouncer went on speaking, Will standing up and leaning over the gaurd rail slightly. As the dust finally, the white burst away, revealing a strangly new Pokemon standing where the Sneasl had fallen. "Wea, Weavile!" it exclaimed with a slash of it's newly developed claw through the fresh air. Even the other trainer seemed just as suprised as Mayleen her self, though the girl felt joy in her heart now as she stared at her "new" Pokemon.
"It looks like Sneasl has evolved into Weavile during the heat of the battle!"
The announcer's word's made the crowd uproar, Mayleen's parents cheering her on again. The opposing trainer snapped out of his trance and ordered his Charizard to attack the newly evolved Weavile, though it didn't take long before Weavile emitted the final blow of a Dig-Ice Punch combo on the flying-and-fire type. Mayleen rose through the ranks of the Shinnoh Cup, soon taking second place in the entire Championships. Mayleen felt proud, even though she didn't win the enitre thing. She had her own team; her first and favorite Pokemon had evolved in the heat of the moment; what more could she ask for? At first she thought her journey was over, and that she could go home now and rest. But after the final day, and saying good bye to her parents until she got home, a man stopped her at the front gates.
He spoke of a newly-founded region; one called the Gamos region. He said that she seemed good enough, and if she were able to collect all the badges and beat the Elite Four and Champion, she become an Elite Four her self. With an offer she couldn't refuse, she agreed, and three weeks later she set off on her newest journey in the Pokemon world with her team of the Shinnoh by her side. Her spirit had arose again, and she couldn't wait to get started!
***
It was a long journey to the new region, Mayleen promising her parents she would stay in touch when she got therr. Both Mayleen and Weavile peered over the side of the boat as they watched the land move closer to them and Tianto Town. Once there, Mayleen got ot the Professor's Lab, getting an ungrade to her Pokedex. After that, she was on her way. The challanges were trickey, after all, and the Gym battles long. The journey was tough, but just like a warrior, she made it through, with wins and looses scattered through out the reigon. She soon came upon the final Gym Leader, and, although she lost her first trial, the second to her was a breeze. With only a few newly caught Pokemon - a Shint Meganium she sometimes called Meg. The Elite Four seemed powerful, but with great pride faced the champion. Though almost in loose, she was suprised with her strength at beating him in the first trial.
She was offered a place in the Elite Four as the final one[the man was reitiring], as the one man pridicted, and she couldn't help but comply. Her parents were both suprised in the news and way she had taken, her father instantly accepting it before her mother could say in a single word. She now resides as the final of the elite four in Gamos, and it proud of her position. Though she was only about fifteen when she took the job - having been trained a few years for so while someone else took her place until she was ready to take the job - she is still like the child she had been before she started her Pokemon journey, and is usually seen outside rather than cooped up in the elite four building. And who knows.
You might see her around some time.

The Team.
[/font][/blockquote]
Name: Weavile.
Gender: Female.
Level: 68.
Item Being Held: Blackglasses.
Moves:
- Ice Shard.
- Shadow Ball.
- Dig.
- Blizzard.
Info/Personality: The first Pokemon Mayleen has ever had, and the strongest on her team. Usually very trusting and reliable, Weavile is almost like her scouter when it comes to traveling in the wild in search of perfect places to rest and Pokemon to battle and/or catch. On the battle feild, though, Weavile would rather try to out-smart the opponet more than anything. If she had her way, or anything, that is. Weavile is also the fastest on Mayleen's team; some say that it is hard to out-match this Pokemon's speed when it comes to battling it in person. Though the Pokemon sounds harsh, it is also the most freindlyist of the bunch, and takes both winning and loosing fairly when it comes down to the odds.*******
Name: Torterra.
Gender: Male.
Level: 67.
Item Being Held: Marical Seed.
Moves:
- Razor Leaf.
- Vine Whipe.
- Leaf Storm.
- Earthquake.
Info/Personality: Her first traveling partner when she began her Pokemon journey. Torterra is usually calm and friendly when out of his Pokeball and not battling with another trainer, and usually acts as a large play toy when around small, young Pokemon or young children. Or both, sometimes. Torterra is, more or less, the bronze of Mayleen's Pokemon team. Probably as well as the upmost "defeater" of Fire-Types, May having taught him Earthquake in order to take down many ground-based Pokemon, meaning it would be easyier to take down any Pokemon if they didn't have flight on their side. Though he isn't the strongest, Torerra's Defenase is one to stack up more than anything when it comes down to it.******
Nickname: Rose.
Gender: Female.
Level: 65.
Item Being Held: Focus Band.
Moves:
- Magical Leaf.
- Soler Beam.
- Toxic.
- Sunny Day.
Info/Personality: Caught as a Budew, Rose it one of the most basic nicest Pokemon on Mayleen's team. She usually aprroaches anyone and everyone, and dares to try and flirt with a Pokemon or two. She is usually very calm and relaxing, and would rather play a game of tag than stay locked up indoors like her trainer. She's also very witty, and likes to try and fool opponets when she has the time to. She's also the one who loves flowers, and loves working in gardens and in forest, taking care of small plants and trees until they grow to be giant with her Aramatherpy that Mayleen has taught her on the side of battling and relaxing.******
Nickname: Sceptic.
Gender: Male.
Level: 68.
Item Being Held: Shoal Bell.
Moves:
- Leaf Blade.
- Leaf Storm.
- Dig.
- Protect.
Info/Personality: Her first-caught Pokemon, and one of the cloest Pokemon to her that she has. Besides Weavile, anyways. Sceptic is more of the battling and non-relaxing type of the group, usually wanting to fight and win the battle him self. To the newbies, he's rather harsh and always bullies them around until they learn a thing or two about manners and how to act in their little "group." He also takes things too seriously; if he looses a battle, he gets too upset and usually runs off to the marshland that lays out near the Elite Four building in order to relax. May May doesn't mind; she knows he won't go far, and he usually calms down within an hour or if another battle is coming up. Sceptice is really just over-protective of his trainer, and would put his life on the line for her. But still can he be aggresive and slightly un-caring of others.******
Name: Meganium.
Gender: Female.
Level: 65.
Item Being Held: Yatche Berry.
Moves:
- Razor Leaf.
- Solar Beam.
- Vine Whip.
- Take Down.
Info/Personality: One of the happiest of the bunch, to put it all together. Mayleen found the Pokemon as a Chikarita, small and injured near Chavian Lake. Reasons for sed scars and such on the Pokemon's body, May could never find out. Still, May took the small and injured Pokemon into the nearest Pokemon Centre to try and help the poor thing. The Pokemon later began following her when she started off to her journey again, and Mayleen has kept her ever since. Meganium - or Meg for short, as Mayleen sometimes calls her - is usally the jolly type of Pokemon, and enjoys the company of everyone. And I do mean everyone. Meg also would enjoy going out and smelling the flowers than anything, and loves the outdoorsy type of life more than anything.
