The Outside In
Appearance: Alex isn't what you would call the best when compared to most others. Alex is usually always - and I do mean always - wearing a hat over his black hair, few strands hanging out here and there. The shade from the visor usually keeps the sun from his blue eyes and tanned face, though no one gets why hats are his favorite piece of clothing. He also wears a red, Hoenn jacket with a black short sleeved shirt underneath. How he wears black all day during the hot summer days, only he could really know. Am I right? His pants are just consisted of jeans, with a few holes here and there from wear and tear through the years. His tennis shoes consist of the basic white and read tennis shoes, which, to anyone, are not very classy in the first place.
But then again, who is?
Personality: Alex is usually known by all his friends to be kind-hearted to those around him, weather it be Pokemon or humans. Though, more than likely, he likes hanging out with Pokemon than humans. Really, if he had to choose, Pokemon would would be his main companions. Probably live them then if he could, too. He can also be headstrong and almost cocky, though, at times. Though he does enjoy the company of others, he cannot, at times, refuse a battle from anyone, and I mean anyone. He has the habit of, when loosing, having to go out a train harder than before until he thinks he's strong enough to challenge them and beat them. Well, hopefully, anyways. He's also known to be a good trainer, and always believes both in him self and in his Pokemon.
Though, he is also known for getting a bit too angry at times, and during these times, he is usually known to turn and storm out in a run. At this, he sometimes forgets about things he put down such as Pokeballs and badges, and even his bag at one point. But he is very kind, and trustable as well around others. Though it is in his heart to try and help all Pokemon - small or big for that matter - weather they be injured badly or just plain hurt because of a twisted ankle. This usually gets him into trouble one time or another, mainly because of the few - though likely - vicious Pokemon out there, or ones that are just plain afraid of Pokemon so bad they'll zap them or attack them if they think it's needed to save them selves. But what can I say.

Leave Out All The Rest
History: Just like everybody else in his family, Alex was born to be a Pokemon trainer. His dad was the gym leader of Petalburg City, and his sister May was a short two year old at the day of his birth. Before his mom was rushed to the hospital, she was a world famous Co-Coordinator, and had all of the ribbons from Hoenn. A few years after his birth, his sister, May, would always challenge him to a race in the Petalberg woods[knowing she could beat him anyways]. Alex and his sister ran through the woods, challenging each-other's speed. But unbeknownst to them, something was watching them.
In the middle of the forest, racing their hearts out, were Alex and May, unaware of the dangers that lie just ahead of them. As May lead him out of the forest, a quick smack make her lie unconscious on the forest floor. "May!" Alex called to her, hoping she wasn't hurt too bad. But Alex had no time to worry, he rushed to her side to protect her from any further harm. Once at her side, Alex saw on the floor a shadow towering over him, getting ready to attack him as well. "Vigoroth!" cried the beast overhead. Just before the wild Pokemon attacked, an even bigger Pokemon with a pig-like nose, white fur around its neck, and thick brown hair covering the rest of his body hit Vigoroth with a fiery fist.
"Great job, Slaking!" my dad called from a distance because he was worried he'd get hit by the wild Vigoroth. I guess you could say that Alex was glad considering he didn't get hurt, but as for May, you couldn't say the same thing. A few days after the accident, May was feeling better being under the watchful eye of their mom and dad. Heck, I'd say she was ready to go back to being herself! After a few days, it was the afternoon. The sun was bright, and both children were busy around the house helping their mom with the daily chores. So of course, their mother gave them and hour or so to go play outside. So it was only natural that Alex wanted to go and race back to the woods with his older sister.
"May, ya ready to go into the woods and play?" he asked, practically racing up to her right before she went to go up the steps toward the second floor. She sniffled slightly at the words "woods", and Alex blinked confusingly at that.
"No, Alex, I can't," she simply said to her younger brother, starting up th stairs slowly. A few tears had already started rolling down her slightly-tanned face from the conversation.
"May, what's the matter?" he asked confusingly to his older sister. Usually she wouldn't pass up an offer to race him to the woods and beat him for the nth time in a row and then rub it in his face. Hey, that's what older sister's are for!
"I'm afraid you'll get hurt, and I would never forgive myself if something bad happened to you," she said, running up the stairs and away from the confused little boy.
From then on, May was never herself again. A couple years later, at the age of twelve, she left on her journey with her new companion, a water type named Mudkip. She left her younger brother behind then, and after a while, Alex actually became more interested in books than any boy his age should have been. He read plenty of books about Pokemon, battling, healing, and even got to take a few trips over to the trainer's school in Rustburo with his father from time to time. At the age of twelve, his mother finally allowed him to take his Pokemon journey[the reason for this and May going when she was twelve was because of the Vigoroth attack. May was scared of Pokemon at the time, while Alex's mother just plain didn't let him leave yet].
At Professor Birch's, out of the three beginners that he could have chosen from, Alex choose him self a Torchic as a beginner, and out on his journey he went. After training with his Torchic, and catching himself a few Pokemon, Alex finally decided to challenge the Pokemon League. Many of the Gym battles were hard enough as is, Alex loosing to a few here and there. That didn't stop him much, though, and ended him self up with an evolved Torchic - it not going any farther than a Combusken - as well as a Swellow, Armaldo, and a Larion. Though he fought greatly while battling for the Wallace Cup at Ever Grande City, he ended up in second place, with his sister's shadow looming over him as she held the winner's cup high in her hands. Amazing how she only used a few Pokemon - Swampert, Beautifly, and Venusaur, for that matter - to defeat her younger brother.***
Alex's family and him self planned to move to Sinnoh within the next few months of the Championships. But on the day of their departure, they missed their ship due to their alarm clocks getting turned off. So of course, they decided to move to the next best thing: The Gamos Region. Alex instantly decided to start over his Pokemon journey and try to become first in the Gamos Pokemon League and beat his sister this year, unlike the year before.
You think he will?
The Team.
Nickname: Flame.
Gender: Male.
Level: 96.
Item Being Held: Everstone.
Moves:
- Fire Blast.
- Flamethrower.
- Overheat.
- Sky Uppercut.
Info/Personality: Flame is the compeditive type, and hates to lose more than Alex, and that's pretty bad! Well, considering how competitive Alex is. Though he normally gets along with other Pokemon, he usually gets along better with the Pokemon on Alex's team. Though, when not caught, he's just as obsessive about his trainer as he is competitive.
